The effect is created by heating the oil in the canisters above its boiling point then shooting the steam through the valve, where it instantly cools, condenses and becomes smoke; or more accurately - fog.

We cannot stress how important it is to not use this smoker indoors. It has the potential to set off fire alarms, as well as condense and create an unhealthy environment.
